The short version
Clean Invoice is a tool for writing invoices and keeping records. It is not an accountant, it does not move money, and your records live on your phone — so keeping a copy is your responsibility.
These terms are an agreement between you and Clean Invoice LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company (“we”, “us”) covering the Clean Invoice iOS app. By using the app you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the app.
What the app is
Clean Invoice helps you create invoices, record what customers have paid you, and keep a log of what you spent. It stores those records on your device and produces PDFs and spreadsheets you can send.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, in line with the App Store Terms of Service. You may not copy, resell, reverse-engineer or redistribute the app.
What the app is not
It is not accounting software, and it is not tax advice. Clean Invoice records what you type. It does not decide what is deductible, does not calculate or file taxes, does not net your expenses against your income, and does not produce statutory accounts. For anything affecting a tax return or a legal obligation, speak to a qualified professional.
It does not calculate sales tax for you. Where the app applies a tax rate, that is the rate you entered. Whether your services are taxable, and at what rate, is yours to determine.
It does not move money. Payments you record are notes about payments that happened elsewhere. The app is not connected to any bank, card network or payment processor, and it cannot collect money from your customers.
It does not contact your customers on its own. Invoices are sent only when you send them. Payment reminders are notifications to you.
Your records are your responsibility
Your invoices, customers and expenses are stored on your device and nowhere else. We do not hold a copy and cannot recover anything for you.
This matters
If you delete the app, lose your phone, or use “Erase everything”, your records go with it. Export your data regularly and keep the file somewhere safe.
You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter, for the invoices you send, and for keeping your own backups.
Subscriptions
Some features may be offered as a paid subscription. If you subscribe:
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple ID settings. Deleting the app does not cancel it.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store Terms of Service, not by us.
Prices may change. Any change applies from the next renewal, and Apple will tell you before it takes effect.
Acceptable use
You agree to use Clean Invoice lawfully, and not to use it to produce fraudulent invoices, to misrepresent who you are, or to bill for work that was not done. You are responsible for any personal information you enter about your customers and for having a lawful basis to hold it.
Availability and changes
We may update the app, change features or stop offering it. We will not deliberately remove your ability to export your own records. Because the app works offline and stores your data locally, it continues to function on your device whether or not we release anything further.
No warranty
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any figure it displays is correct for your circumstances.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, nor for lost profits, lost business, lost data or lost records, arising out of your use of or inability to use the app.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and this does not affect any statutory consumer rights you have.
Ending this agreement
You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it. These terms end when you do. Sections that by their nature should survive — limitation of liability, and the disclaimers above — continue to apply.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, and the courts of the State of Wyoming, United States have exclusive jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections available to you where you live.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them and the current version is always at this address. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.
